AIAA UCF will have a team competing in the national Cansat competition, sponsored by AIAA and the American Astronautical Society.
The team will build a small aerial science device called a cansat, which will be launched in a rocket during the competition to simulate a planetary atmospheric entry vehicle. This cansat will need to cary instruments and a stabilized camera to record video and data during a controlled descent to the ground. The cansat will also transmit data through a radio to the teams ground station for live monitoring, and will play an audio beacon automatically after landing to ease in its location.
THIS IS A SENIOR DESIGN PROJECT, UDERGRADUATE STUDENTS UNFORTUNATLY CAN NOT PARTICIPATE.
